The Ministry of the Environment and BCSD Portugal are organizing the workshop "ECO.FINANCIA: Challenges of the financial system for the circular economy" which aims to address the role of the financial system in supporting companies that are already, or intend to, make the transition to circular practices, with particular emphasis on international and national success stories, namely regional examples of circular economy.
Frido Kraanen and Jvan Gaffuri are the confirmed international speakers. Frido Kraanen is cooperative and corporate sustainability director at PGGM, a pension fund management cooperative, and director of the Ellen Macarthur Foundation's FinanCE working group, and Jvan Gaffuri is director and senior manager of sustainability services at RobecoSAM.
The workshop is part of the eco.nomia portal, a space for sharing knowledge about the circular economy created by the Ministry of the Environment, of which the BCSD is a partner. "ECO.FINANCIA: Challenges of the financial system for the circular economy" is free to attend and takes place on January 20, between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., at the Auditorium of the Picoas Forum in Lisbon.
